Houlon Berman partner Richard A. Finci with the assistance of partner Alan D. Levenstein, obtained a wrongful death settlement of 1.85 million dollars on behalf of a family last month. The case involved an automobile accident in Prince George’s County between a tractor trailer and a motor scooter. The tractor trailer driver was shown to have been at fault for failing to stop at a stop sign exiting from a shopping center parking lot where the driver had dropped off and picked up a load. The early settlement recovered nearly all of the available insurance proceeds without the incurrence of substantial litigation expenses and was reached approximately 6 months after the accident.
